I don't go on twitter but I've always been in favour of a genderqueer reading of these characters, it was just the idea of seeing either of them in the context of femslash that didn't sit right with me. I'm still not sure it does, but your reasoning about Crowley makes a lot of sense and does make me less uncomfortable. Thank you very much for getting back to me! :)
