As we're approaching the deadline, here are a few tips and guidelines for how to post your art to AO3. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us at femslashexmod@gmail.com! As Femslashex has an anon period, we ask that you don't use a public post to your Twitter/Tumblr/Deviantart/etc to host your art. There are a few options for private image hosting:

• Private Discord server - if you have a Discord account, you can create a private server that only you have access to and host your image file there. This is the safest option for NSFW art.


• Private Imgur post. Imgur posts are private by default. The terms of service do forbid NSFW images, but they rely on users reporting rule-breaking images rather than auto-detection.


• Private Tumblr post. You can make a private or draft Tumblr post to host your image file. Tumblr does ban sexually explicit content, but their enforcement can be patchy.

If you post your art publicly before the anonymous period ends, we'll contact you to take it down and we may have to default you/send your recipient to pinch hit.

Art will also have to be embedded on AO3 (rather than, e.g., posting a link to where the art is hosted.) This tutorial details how to embed image files on AO3, using Imgur as an example. (Note that while the tutorial also includes Deviantart, there's no private hosting option on Deviantart so it's not suitable for Femslashex.)
