I'm getting really tired of going out as a pinch hit after the deadline, which implies that my assigned writer doesn't even have the courtesy to default even though s/he knows s/he isn't going to finish on time.

I'd like to know whether my recipient is the same as my writer, because if it is, I'd like to pull the gift I posted for her/him and you can open the archive on time. Since it's either that or I take myself for a pinch hit. Thank you.

Don't worry about it; it's just that this is the 2nd time in 1.5 months my writer decided to ditch me without a word (and the last time she was my recipient if the Sign-Up Summary was to be believed, and I was so pissed off because I did like 4k words for her), and the 3rd time (I think, I honestly lost count by now because this keeps happening to me) that I'm the last outstanding pinch hit everyone's waiting on...

I've done about a dozen fic exchanges this year, never got sent out as an initial pinch hit (because I edit my sign-up according to the summary to ensure I get a match), but can count on one hand the number of times I didn't end up as a pinch hit and have fingers left over (and one of them was because I know my assigned writer IRL). I'm just really, really tired of it :/ maybe there's something wrong with the people who likes my fandoms.
