Nominations Are Open!

Please read the rules before you start nominating.

In short:

• You may nominate up to five fandoms with up to five pairings in each.


• Both parties must be women or gender questioning/queer people you'd be comfortable writing about in a femslash challenge


• Threesomes/moresomes and crossovers may not be nominated (but they may be listed in optional details when you sign up).


• [Canonical Character]/Original Female Character is allowed. [Canonical Character]/Any is not allowed


• [Canonical Character]/[Unnamed Character] is allowed in cases where there most likely was a woman, but we don't know exactly who she was, for example: Galadriel/Legolas' Mother in The Hobbit fandom.


• There will be one category for Original Works, in which you may nominate things such as Princess/Handmaiden, Mermaid/Ship Captain, or Starship Captain/Chief Engineer.


• You may wish to check out the nomination discussion post from last week to see what fandoms and pairings others are nominating, and how to nominate large/complicated fandoms, but as a summary:
  
  • Songs with female singers and female or ambiguous pronouns are eligible.
  
  
  • Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is part of the Marvel Cinematic universe, so is Agent Carter.
  
  
  • If it has Hugh Jackman and mutants in it, it's X-Men (Movies)
  
  
  • Everything set in the Doctor Who universe can be nominated under Doctor Who (including Torchwood).
  
  
  • Tolkien fandoms will be split into The Silmarillion – J.R.R. Tolkein; The Hobbit (All Media Types), and The Lord of the Rings (All Media Types).
  
  
  • All of the Star Treks separate by series name.
  
  
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series and assorted spinoffs will go together under "Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Related Fandoms."
  
  
  • All variations of Sailor Moon will be nominated separately.
  
  
  • All Pretty Cure series will be nominated together.
  
  
  • FF X and FF X-2 will be nominated as "Final Fantasy X & Final Fantasy X-2"
  
  
  • Marvel Comics will be nominated by universe, for example: Marvel 616, Marvel Adventures, etc.
  
  
  • The Les Mis tag will be "Les Miserables (All Media Types)."
  
  If you're unhappy with any of those combinations/divisions, the mods are willing to negotiate, but the sooner you mention it (either here or in the nomination discussions), the more likely we are to be able to change it.

If you spot any doubles, misfiled fandoms, random pairing popping up under other fandoms or pairings that don't qualify, comment here. We're going to do our best to wrangle as we go.

Bethany Hawke, Female Hawke, Isabela, and Merrill are not in Dragon Age Origins but the sequel Dragon Age 2. The category should be renamed, or they should be moved to a new category.

It seems they're crossing over from the Dragon Age II category. I'd argue that both games should be combined.

"Yuffie Kisaragi/Shelke Rui" seems to have immigrated into the Kingdom Hearts ships. Yuffie is in the Kingdom Hearts series, but Shelke has only ever appeared in Dirge of Cerberus from Compilation of Final Fantasy VII.

You said in this post that versions of Sailor Moon will be done separately. The version that has been accepted isn't version specific and is appearing under anime/manga, live action and theater.

Can Aerith Gainsborough/Tifa Lockhart be in Kingdom Hearts and FF7? It currently is.

Also Princess Hilda/Zelda is in both Link Between Worlds and Ocarina of Time. I assume Hilda's only in the former, but wanted to double check.

Looks like Jane Foster/Darcy Lewis snuck into Marvel 616. Darcy isn't a comics character. Kate Bishop/America Chavez is in 616 twice, once with the disambiguation and once without.

There's a typo in the Spiritwalker Trilogy - Kate Elliot nomination. To the best of my knowledge it should be "Beatrice Hassi Barahal/Cat Barahal," not "Beatrice Hassi Bahral/Cat Barahal."

Last year, we did seasons individually. However, we also had only one person offered/requested any Power Rangers so it didn't work out well to put all eggs in that basket, as it were. I'll leave it up to the fandom's discretion.

I'm not a part of this fandom but "Clarke Griffin/Raven Reyes/Octavia Blake" (The 100) got through and it says in the rules threesomes and moresomes aren't allowed to be nominated.

I could, though I don't really think it's unclear? There's only one Moriarty in Elementary, and only one female Moriarty in wider fandom, so I don't see confusion in regards to which one it is?

Just noticed in passing that the listing under Christian Bible includes both 'Naomi/Ruth' and 'Naomi/Rut' - am assuming this is a typo!

I think that's the canonical tag for that pairing. They're not both nominated, just showing alternate spellings divided by a |.

Hey, I nominated the Gilmore Girls pairings, and I intended to nominate Paris/Rory, but it looks like it's in there as Paris/Lorelai now. I don't know if the auto-complete messed me up or there was an error somewhere else, but is there any way to change it?
