2019 Schedule

We’re excited to announce the 2019 round will be starting next month! This year we'll be shifting the usual schedule later to accommodate mod availability while still avoiding a due date clash with Trick or Treat.

28 Aug-11 Sept: Nomination Period
14-25 Sept: Signups open
28 Sept: Assignments will be sent out by this date
9 Nov: Fanworks due
16 Nov: Archive goes live (or as soon as everyone has a gift)
23 Nov: Creators revealed

All deadline times this year will be 9pm EDT

This round we are considering the combined fandom rule for shared universes during nominations. In particular we would like to know whether it’s still working for some participants to combine shared universes like the MCU and Arrowverse, and for those who would like a change whether they would prefer we stop combining fandoms at all or have other suggestions for when and when not to combine.

We have also turned anonymous commenting back on, but anonymous comments will be screened for now until we’re confident that the spam comments we were receiving last round won't start back up. Comments will be unscreened as soon as possible but please bear with us if we aren't immediately available during the period prior to nominations.

We won’t be finalising the rules and any changes for the upcoming round until shortly before nominations begin.

Glad to see this year's schedule.

I like having the shared universes combined. I feel most strongly about this for Arrowverse and Power Rangers as splitting them up would throw my ships into the crossover section.

please keep all the following Marvel Netflix shows under the fandom "The Defenders": Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, the Punisher, and Iron Fist

I understand there is a Marvl Netflix tag but it has (enragingly) been . synned to MCU and so it . dumps its tags into the MCU section if used. Also it implies Cloak and Dagger (a Marvl Netflix show) is eliigible when it shouldn't be since it isn't really part of that shared universe

and the universe is VERY shared (lots of character crossover) so the risk of duplicates if you allow individual shows like "Daredevil" and "The Punisher" is very high

Oh that's very useful to know, thank you for the heads up! If we stick with combining, we can definitely use The Defenders instead of Marvel Netflix.

I didn’t know that since my only contact with it is seeing it being advertised on Netflix, and I’d guess that a large number of people also mistakenly think it’s a Netflix show
