2016 – Let's Discuss Nominations  
Hello again, everyone!

Now that we're officially back in business for the year, it's time to talk about nominations. As noted in the previous post, those will be open in five days, at 5 PM (PDT) on Monday, August 15, so there's time to start batting things around before then.

Feel free to talk about what you're thinking of nominating in the comments, discuss eligibility, negotiate free spaces in your nominations with other users, etc.

You're also more than welcome to pull from our collection of user-made banners from prior years, but don't let that stop you from making and posting (via comment here) your own if you feel inspired.

Oh! OH yes. Mme C- and Miss G-, aka Abby T-. I definitely ship that too. *scribbles down* (I suppose a person could ship Clorinda and Miss A-, in her overdramatic crush days, even though canonically C- is Just Not Into Her That Way.)

C- and Sandy are not relevant to this fest.

ABBY, THAT WAS IT. She was so reckless! and the way Clorinda calls Eliza her "wild girl," I think she has a Type. ;-)

Shit I never thought about it like that, but it makes SO much sense. :D Like, women who are "reckless" and "wild" but not in an irresponsible idiot way (despite Abby's early reputation), more in a fling themselves heart-first into things way. And who are also really very competent and solid too (Abby in Oz, Eliza the estate-manager). And excellent at cuddling one in the frets. I really do think she has a type!

YES, I think she really likes passionate women who don't just fling themselves into scrapes, but are smart enough to keep out of trouble, even if Abby seemed to be walking the edge there a lot in her youth. And who can kind of tease and cuddle her out of her own anxieties, definitely. Clorinda's v analytical, and I think she likes being gotten out of her own head. So to speak.

ohghod that was so funny and then he also seemed turned on by it and horrified at himself by same, which was even funnier
