Wow. So people like femslash. Two and a half days into sign ups we have 67 entries. Which is kind of what I was expecting over all? Well done, everyone! We also have 41 people in the pinch hit group, which is awesome. Even if two of them are me.

I was poking through old yuletide links, and found a couple of good essays about writing letters and requests. Obviously a few things don't apply to this fest (what genre are you writing? It'd better be femslash!), but they're amusingly written and have good general advice. I know I found them very helpful when I was a newbie to fests, and enjoyed rereading them.

Please remember that you must request and offer at least three fandoms with at least two pairings in each of them. If you do not meet this requirement, you will not be matched. Obviously, everyone's still deciding what to ask for right now, so we're not going to start deleting people's sign ups out of hand. However, in the last few days of sign ups, the mods will be doing a sweep through to make sure everyone meets the minimum standard and PMing people who don't. Everyone will have until the end of sign ups to fix it.

Please don't offer or ask for "any" in your fandoms unless you're 100% content to write and read fic for ALL nominated pairings.
