Last Day of Penalty-Free Defaulting  
What it says in the title. If you default by 10pm PST tonight, you're good to go for participating another year with no problems. If you default after that, or straight up fail to hand in, not so much.

Think about how much work you still have to do, and think about how much time/inspiration you have.

To default, go to your assignment. Press the button that says default. Press yes on the "are you sure" prompt. Done.


Oh, unrelated, but there seems to be a little confusion on this issue. We won't be having an anon period after posting. Your user names will be visible when the stories go up.

Ugh. I was off to a great start and then I got sick, and then I went out of town for a week, and then...

I don't want to default, but don't think I can count on being able to turn things around in four days, so I am. I may try to pick up a pinch hit or a treat or something, so I don't feel like a total flake. :-( Or post my original assignment as a treat if by some miracle I *do* finish it.

No worries. I've sent the pinch hit out, and with that many fandoms/details, I'm sure it'll get picked up soon.

I have a question - when it says in the FAQ that the archive goes live on Nov 12 or as soon as everyone has a story, does that mean it could go live sooner if everybody comes through, or just that it might take longer depending on whether you need to round up more pinch hitters? (The pinch hit I picked up is almost done, I'm just trying to gauge whether I'll have time to do treats as well.)

It wouldn't be any sooner than 10am (or whatever I said), but it could well be later, depending on when pinch hits come in. You are also welcome to post treats even after the archive opens.

I'm muzzy with sleeplessness and just want to be sure I've read this correctly: the archive will not be open before 10am (or whatever hour was previously mentioned) on November 12th, so we'll definitely have through the 11th for treating or editing? Thanks for the clarification! n__n

That is correct. I suspect it will be later, as 2.5 days may not be enough time for pinch hitters, but it will not be before 10am PST 12 November (which I just checked). As mentioned above, you will still be able to post treats after the archive opens.
